Shane Dawson was never know as a clean cut YouTuber. Shane uses obscene language in literally every video he makes and for the most part it’s what make him funny. Its what makes Shane, Shane. Recently Shane has left many fans offended when he used the N word. “I do not trust that nigga, I don’t trust him!”, Shane joked. Do you think Shane went to far this time?

        I got called that by a black woman and I am not even black, it was also a joke. I can’t say it because I am white… I get words like Vanilla or other stuff like that in reference to my skin color all as jokes. It’s not a nice word but to be honest young blacks abuse that word so damn much and so do most rappers. Blame society for making ok again.

        It’s not right one group of people can use it as a joke but it is offensive if another group does. That is double standards and reverse racism. If it is such a bad word then no one should really be using it from any race or context.

        Also the term nigger is from Shakespeare from Hamlet in the context to be bothered. If you know history it wasn’t always blacks called that some uneducated whites were call that too before it became more of a exclusive term.

        I am not saying its right but you can’t bash the guy over that to harshly when, once again society says, “It’s cool man.”

But let’s stay on topic, by you dismissing this situation by adding you own problems to this,you are undermining the extent of what he did. If this were a, “*insert black youtuber* uses racial slur about another ethic group”* topic then of course this should be the main discussion. But the fact is, Shane used a derogatory term, end of story.

          But I will say, that I think it’s unexceptable for ANYONE of any race to use that term, or any word used to offend a certain race. And I think that mainstream rap, made that word more popular today, but that’s another story.

    Shane says it only when he’s around Shanna. Shanna pushed shane to do say the word. In one of his videos he said he didnt want to say the word but his black friend shanna told him too.Btw Shane said “Nigga” Which is native in the Black Language. Its not as offensive as “Nigger” which the title states he says when he really didnt.

    This is definitely a racist and innapropiate word. It has so much history behind it that it’s hard for me to accept it as ‘just a word’ or just Shane ‘messing around.’ He can cuss all be wants but this is completely unacceptable and his ‘crude humour’ has gone too far.
